O3-XDS is an Open Source Cross-enterprise Document Sharing system that is able to store and share documents in a standard way, following the XDS profile of the IHE initiative. It is composed of two modules, the registry and the repository. The most important feature is that the reference information model for storing information is acquired from HL7 V3 and so it is quite simple to interact with it from other systems. The O3-XDS systems is used in the Piemonte region as central repository of data, storing information about documents and images, through its XDS-I (for Images) specialization. |
